Hey guys,

I have 2 original Xbox's with me, one that is hard modded and one that is soft modded. The one with the physical mod chip belongs to my cousin and the soft modded one is mine. I convinced my cousin to give me his mod chip cos he said that a softmod will be just fine for him.

What I wanted to know was that if I just swapped motherboards between the 2 consoles, will they still work? ie. I want to keep my DVD drive and HDD and he wants to as well, just swap motherboards.

The reason for me doing this is to see if I can upgrade my HDD, because with my ndure + hxboxhdm soft mod, I get an error 5 when I unlock the HDD and an error 6 when I unlock the HDD.

Help will be highly appreciated.
