ive been running Unleashx smoothly for some time now...
i had XBMC, Linux, and tons of emulators and such.
but today my friend was over and wanted to play
Greg Hastings paintball..so i loaded it through
the dashboard and started it up for him.
i went to the kitchen to get a drink and he pressed
"xbox live" and went to the xbox live screens..
i told him to get out of it and he did.
we played for a while and when we got bored i took the
game out and went back to my modded dash (no problem at this time).
then a couple hours later i went to turn my xbox on and it now boots
to the MS DASH asking for me to set the time.
the led's are red indicating that its still softmodded.
all my saves are still on the HDD.
and all games work.
Well, I also had this happen once. To the best of my knowledge, when you try to access Xbox Live through a game on your softmodded HD, Xbox live recognizes the HD serials don't match from the stock. It somehow forces the MS dash to always start.
So, your solution? Do you still have the gamesave exploit you used to install the unleashX? If so, pop in one of the games that is usable, load the game save, reinstall the softmod. After that, you can FTP, or just check File Manager, for any duplicated files, etc. I would suggest you always keep one of the game save exploits on your HD. This way, you have a back door into your Xbox so you can reinstall the softmod without hotswapping or losing all HD data.
