you didn't use windows, did you? I don't know if they've changed it or not, but the bastards at windows made all discs burned on a computer only visible to that computer starting with vista... or was it only to the same version of windows... I forgot, but anyway-- the point of the story is, use linux.
Back-ups of my Blu-ray or DVD media made with FAB 8092Qt on my Windows 7 PC play fine on the host computer plus any other PC or *****Blu-ray/DVD player.

Don't assume that all bluray players can play any disk thrown at them. Some are very particular especially when burned on a PC. My LG HB405 can only play BD single layer but not double layer. My Panasonic DMP BD45 can play all my burned single & double layer & even BDRE disks. I use DVDFab to rip all my bluray disks.
Try updating the firmware - it may help
I am finding however, that discs burned from my original Blu-rays are a bit touchy as to "fast forwarding and reversing" and "chapter search" causing a lock-up at times.
Playing from start to finish with an ocassional stop seems fine, but basically they (the discs) are happier being left uninterrupted.
I'm yet to do comparisons on if this applies to certain brands of disc, but I do remember that in the early days of DVD back-ups, things weren't as stable as they are today all-round.

Im using cheap 25GB discs for both of them
Both of them will play on my Sony Standalong.

Which option you use for your transcoding - Full disk/ Main movie or Clone?
I prefer to use Clone especially for the BDR DL disks. So far haven't try to compress from 50Gb to 25Gb. Ever try ripping bluray to MP4HD using DVDFab? Tried quite a few disks - not bad. Put them on a 32Gb flashdrive & streamed them thru a media player to the HDTV - as good as the original & the size is so small.
I used Clone. The disk plays in the BluRay player, just not in 3D. It misses the iniatial choice 2D or 3D. The same disk plays perfectly in 3D on the PC

I usually use Any DVD Cloner products. They are cheaper than DVDFab. LOL

What product do you use. I have Any Dvd also and Clone, don't know of any for Blu Ray.
