DVD drive not working in Windows 7

I have a Pioneer DVR-K16RS dvd drive that worked just fine with vista but i installed windows 7 last night and it cannot find my dvd drive. i see it in the BIOS but not in my computer. ive tried to delete the upper and lower filters in the Registry but i couldnt find those either. ive looked at several forums without any luck. PLEASE HELP!!!!
