New to forum.. hopefully this is the right section.. i have an emachine t3410 (not that that matters, but just in case) and my sister has an emachine 6415 or something (a better computer) so i recently added memory to both and found that i only have a dvd reader cdrw combo but she has dvd and cd rw, so i thought to do just a switcharoo- now hers is fine, plays dvd and cd. Mine plays cd and dvd but when going to burn a dvd with dvd decrypter or img burn- it tells me i/o error device (3:0:0) lite-on dvdrw sohw-1633s bgs4 (e:) (ata)
then interpretation : check condtion

cdb: 53 00 00 00 00 00 22 11 1c 00
interpretation: reserve track- sectors 2,232,604

so i kind of read u on it and it seems to be an issue becuase its a oem part- my question is- what do i need to do to get it to work, i dont even know where to look for firmware- is this a dead cause? should i just go out and by a new 1?
