It won't burn CD-R 40X ( it did, but doesn't show burn on the disc!! )
I'm using "Easy CDA Creator v12"
When inserted the CD-R 52X the "Easy CDA Creator" says
"incomatible".
So, when I inserted the CD-R 40X it says "Compatible" but
YOU THINK IT WOULD BURN, as it turned out to be "FAULTY".
Once is done, nothing on that disc, no burner marks on it.
That's weird!!!
So, if you think I need to get CD-R that has lower write sppeds,
I couldn't find any of them that's lower than 40X.
Most stores such as "Radio Shack" and "Office Deopot" only
has 40X, 48X and 52X CD-R.
I cannot understand why the manufactors that makes their
CD/DVD drive to be soooooooo picky!!!!
I think you desperately need to update your firmware for a start.. google rpc1 firmware and your burner name..
secondly.. I have a feeling you have the xp "filters" plague.. that stops burners reading and writing.. got any roxio/xillisoft crap installed on there.. or recently uninstalled?
try uninstalling the burner through hardware manager and then rebooting and see if that makes a difference..
FYI from memory this is a rebadged NEC burner, they are good, but must be getting on a bit now (tho my nd-3550a is still making burns as good as the day it came out of the box in 2005!!)
You are right about the NEC burners.I bought 6ea. nd-3550a and they all are still working without any problems. My biggest problems was the crappy software that they have now.
why not ditch that software?.. never heard of anybody else using it.. there are plenty of free and good rippers out there.. As for burning.. Imgburn .. it's what people use
Generally these "branded" things (roxio/xilisoft etc) screw about with settings related to burning, to keep the device purely for themselves..
I don't use any windoze stuff.. my opinion.. a rubbish mickey mouse operating system tends to have rubbish (expensive) mickey mouse applications to go with it.
Stick to open source freeware non proprietary.. Imgburn will most likely solve your problems completely :)
Where do I find the "Imgburn" that you suggested.
Is it listed on AfterDawn's download site???
Does it works with Windows XP Pro SP3???
Does this Imgburn reads and writes CD-R, CD-RW and DVD-R, DVD-RW and so on??? The CD/DVD drice can writes on DVD-R 1-16X
CD-RW 24X and sometimes CD-R 52X. It depends on day in and day out
thing, you know??
