Yo, i finally opened my tower case and put in a cd rw-writer, after applying the jump cables etc, i powered my comp and everything was fine, i tried reading a cd-r which read with no problems, i tried burning an audio disc using
Windows Media Player-i get the error reading "encountered a problem etc etc, click on more details if needed"
i then installed realplayer and everytime i try opening the program it crashes and reads "this program has stopped working...windows is finding a solution"
i then researched on the net that maybe it might be due to the digital/analog cable not connected in the writer, as i then opened my tower again, i connected the digital cable wire from one writer to the other [from LGCD-RW CED-8080B ATA to LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-1635S ATA]
again, windows still encountered the error and i had already uninstalled realplayer.
