Philips SPD2513P won't burn 2.4x

I have a Philips SPD2513P DL burner that won't burn DVD+r DL at 2.4x but my NEC burner does.When I choose 2.4x,it always burns at 4x.I have it flashed with the most updated firmware so I know that's not the problem.I wouldn't really care but the NEC just crapped out on me today so I really need the Philips to be able to burn at 2.4x.
