Playing NTSC DVD on ASUS Ext DVD

Hello all,

I'm unable to play NTSC DVD Video Disc on my ASUS laptop with an external ASUS Slim DVD RW player. I've tried many solutions which includes: Using DVDFab Passkey, downloading latest VLC PLayer, etc.. But when I insert the disc into my ext player, it says there is no disc in the player.

I've tried playing it on my Samsung DVD player connected to my TV and it works fine.

Please advice. Thank you!!
