I have a dvd ram drive on my Toshiba laptop
hardware is described as hl-dt-st dvdram gsa-t50n which i have found is an LG offering

I have found that when i copy a DVD movie the read speed is shown as max 4x and the write speed is max at 8x

is this quite correct. i always thought that my read speed should be as fast or faster than my write (burn) speed.

Please enlighten me. I am thinking of flashing my firmware back to what it was after reading replies ansd advice to this post of mine

The media i am using is 16x dvds (for read and write)

I use cyberlink power2go as my burning software

Thank you very much
