So, after reinstalling Windows 7 on my laptop ( Vaio VGN-SZ750n ) the DVD drive refuses to show up. Windows Media player does not recognize it, however Device Manager does recognize it, but fails to install the driver. Every time I turn my computer on, it attempts to install the drivers and fails. So okay, cool, I decide to delete the upper and lower filters and run the Microsoft Fix-It program, yet, it still refuses to find the driver and fails to install.

But here's the interesting part, in safe mode, it comes up perfectly. Keep in mind that before I reformatted, I had Windows 7 working PERFECTLY. I had upgraded from Vista, but this was a clean 7 install this time, I'm guessing it has to do with transferring drivers from Vista to 7? Idk. Also, the Vaio website has no DVD drivers or CD drivers.
