I'm trying to see if my burners (I have two different models) can be used to backup some Karaoke CD+G disks. Reading various forum posts, it seems that if the burner supports RAW DAO 96, then it can burn CD+G. The Nero InfoTool 6 show this as one of the "Write Modes" , but under "Supported read/Write features" in the CD column it has +G with a red "x" under Read, and nothing at all under Write.

Would it make sense that the drive would be able to burn CD+G but not be able to read CD+G?

BTW, the drives are:
Sony DVD RW DRU-830A (ATA interface)
LITE-ON Blu-ray Burner iHBS212-08 (SATA interface)
