hey guys, just want to ask what is the problem in this situation...

before, i have no problems burning isos to dvd+rl discs.

but now i have trouble even before it starts to burn.

i have tried imgburn and nero but it freezes at "writing lead-in"..

im using verbatim 8x discs. updated firmware of my drive but still freezes...

Before freezing, does the on-screen log show anything apart from 'writing lead-in'?
Calibration area full or Fixation error??

i dont think so. . i wish i could post the log file but my pc freezes when i do so..

when burning with nero 10, it gets stuck at 0% Writing Lead-in
when burning when imgburn, it gets stuck at Setting L0 Data Zone Capacity, then stays there so i have no choice but to stop the burn by rebooting my pc..

i can burn cd, dvdr but not dvd+rl...

I'm not familiar with dvd+rl, is this perhaps DVD+R DL (dual layer??)

If so then perhaps this link will help:

ok.. they seem reliable enough..

how is it going on other types of disks?

seems they are rebadged by a few oem's these.. anyway.. somebody found the fix
