InterVideo WinDVR 3 - No Audio

I know this software is old but I'm really stuck & hope someone can help.

I am trying to use this software with Ezcap as a way of being able to use my ps3 without a TV as I'll be working abroad & don't want to have a buy a TV just for my playstation when I have a 17' inch laptop, also won't really have space for one in my little box room I'm renting.

So far I've tried a few pieces of software including Arcsoft ShowBiz 3.5 & 5 (3.5 was supplied with the device) both gave sound & vision but neither filled the screen. Then I tried Debut which almost filled the screen but seemed unstable & worse had no audio.

Now I'm on InterVideo WinDVR 3, fills the screen perfectly, best image out the 4, low/no lag...but same as Debut, no audio.

I've tried with both the cables on the EzCap device & the via the microphone jack & still no audio, however I know the audio is going in to the device as a short recording I made, played back with audio, but I can't find a way of getting audio while I play the game only when you play back a recording.

Here a photo showing everything working however still no audio from the software & strangely when I put the volume up on the slider within the softwares controls, it drops straight back down to zero.

It's as if the software is permanently wanting to mute.

Any help would be amazing!
