im new to the conversion process.
i use DVD2Avi/Avisynth(w/Mpeg2dec&decomb.dll) and VirDub.

1.What speed should i expect while encoding frameserved .VOBs to xvid?(not the movie's fps)Mine is slow, i am currently getting about 12fps. Is that reasonable,Or im doing something wrong?
(sys it 2ghzAthlon64 laptop - 512 333mhz ram)/(no post processing filters w/ fast recompress in vdub)

2.I don't want to reconvert ac3's to anything else - i used VirDubMod(latest+bugfix) to streem the ac3 with the video, because VirDub-Ac3 gave me an error and the original VirDub doesn't support ac3s. Is there a way to wrap ac3s in a wav so that Virdub supports them, like riff-waved mp3s? I found a couple of programs(ie. HeadAC3he.exe) but they reconvert the whole file and make the file size huge. Do u know any programs that can do the job?(make riff-wav ac3s 4virdub)
I want to use the original Vdub because others have bugs wat ever u do.
