The plus is just a consolidated version of the v2 and v9 chips. Its an all in one solution, it works on v1-10 now. And they say they fixed a problem with v4 "ground bounce" issue. other than that its the same. I would get a regular v2 DMS3 if I were you. Get it from http://foundmy.com for $35 plus shipping.

There was supposed to be an issue with the v4 and the DMS3 v2 chip. Not exactly sure what "ground bouce" is but it is said to cause booting problems in some v4 ps2 systems. I have installed a DMS3 on a v4 system quite a bit and have not ever run into any problems, not have I had any later complaints from customers. Go to the DMS3 forums to get a more in depth explanation from the DMS team themselves.

I think it happens when the ground wire is too long (not sure). There was also a problem when wires crossed each other...(that, I'm sure). I hope they fixed this problem. I saw that www.infomodchip.com will make a complete review of the product in the next few days, I will have a look there and see if this chip is now easier to install!
