Problems getting slidecard to work

I have followed the step by step instructions given to me from wheen i got the slidecard i do everything it tells me to and when i tap X at the end the screen turns red then grey

Can somebody please help?

you need to give a lot more information. what brand media, + or -r, what game, what version ps2, etc?
