It is possible to turn an old computer monitors into a Chromebook by installing the open-source operating system Chromium OS. Chromium OS is the open-source version of Chrome OS, the operating system that runs on Chromebooks. You can download Chromium OS and create a bootable USB drive, then boot your old computer from the USB drive and install Chromium OS on it. This process is free, but it is important to note that not all computers will be able to run Chromium OS properly and some features of a Chromebook may not be available.
