Possible to play Cd backups using Dvdloader?

I have swap magic 3.2 cd version which doesnt work. I was wondering if there was any way i could boot a cd using the SM DVD 2.0 and dvd loader to get around this defective product.

yeah, just instead of reinserting your swap magic dvd to refresh the toc, insert an original cd based ps2 game (the dvd drivers disc will also work if you have it).

Here is what I am doing.

1) Insert SM DVD disc
2) At 'Insert Disc' I put the DVDLoader in via EA method.
3)Dvd Loader screen pops up, I press Eject and place a ps2 cd based game in there. (High Heat 2004)
4)I press X (At this point instead of allowing me to put another game in via EA method it automatically boots the game)

at step 4, don't hit x. let it read for a few seconds, the disc will stop, then swap for backup and hit x.
