I'm new in DVD ripping.
For my first time, I extracted the sound of Casablanca's DVD (by Warner) with FlaskMPEG (I had no problem with the DivX file).
I then decompressed it with AC3Dec. I only got a continuous "buzz".
I tried everything : use other codecs (the one I used first was PCM 16 bits 48khz stereo 188 kb/s... The AC3 sound is 192 kb/s. Could it be the the problem?), decode again .VOB files with DECODEVOB.EXE, turn 48khz into 44.1 khz... Nothing worked.

Is it a DVD problem, a system problem, a software one?

You can use FlasK to decode the AC3 stream. Select the PCM codec for the audio and after FlasKing the movie use VirtualDub to compress the audio to, for example, MP3 format.

But it doesn't solve my problem : the Warner "Casablanca" DVD zone 2, has a sound impossible to read. I tried with other movies and it works. Do you have any idea?
