I´ve a mdf and a mds file the game is "soul calibur 2" the size of the files are 800 mb. when i try to burn it with alcohol only the mds file appears.Only when I pressed all file tipes the mdf file appeared. But now the problem is. The size of the session is 703.6 MB and a CD can only burn 700 MB. What should I do to burn the game. And sorry about my english, I suck at english
alcohol makes two files, mdf and mds. it is similar to bin and cue. the cue file is the file you want to burn. In this case, it is mds. Burn the mds with alcohol. I have a similar problem to yours, and that is the oversized file for the cd-r media. I guess we just need to burn it to the cd with overburn, and then use breaker pro (i dont have it though) to load the game. Im not too sure about the overburn procedures, but if you search the forums, im sure you can find a guide to help you with overburning games. If not, hopefully someone here can hep you out. good luck.
try not to use caps lock. And breaker pro is for the ps2. Its a boot disc for the ps2, used for import and backed up psx games to be played on the ps2. Also, breaker pro can play backedup cd-r games over 650 mb.
Correct me if i'm worng but is'nt your file over 700 mb beacause it's exracted in raw data before.
A program that burns in raw data is clone cd.
You can try to convert the image to clone cd format with a program like ultra iso and than burn it. When i burn my 706 mb final fantasy image I and up with a cd of 615 mb.
Again i'm not sure of this so correct me if i'm wrong

U r correct, my MDF n MDS files r over 700mb (they r 805mb together). I got Ultra ISO program, but what do i do now, i have no idea how to use it, i tried using help, didnt help. If u could pleaze explain how to make these MDF n MDS files to clone CD format so i could fit em to 700mb cd. Thanks ALOT in advance!
You can open the image you have and than choose file and than save ass.
But that's not the thing you have to do!!!! Because when you do the image looses some order data etc. and I still dont't have succes fixing my own extracted psx final fantasy either. So wath you have to do is open Ultra ISO. And than don't open a image but look in the menu for image converter. Or just press f6 to open converter. With this converter it's possible to convert your mds,mdf image to clone cd format without loosing any important data.
