is it possible to burn a dvd game to a cd?

hey forum
i have a cd burner and dont really want to pay $150 for a dvd burner so i was wondering if it is possible to burn a dvd based game (silver bottom) to a blank cd?
if anyone can help i would be real grateful thanx

actually, dvd burners are half that price. You can burn to cd, but you have to cut out all the extra stuff and movies.

you can. I have loads of pirated games which were originally DVD but they managed to split onto three or four CDs. Dunno how the dudes did it though.
