Hey, I was wondering, what is the limit, besides the cd storage limit, to burn a game to a cd-r. Im using verbatim cd-r, 700 mb cd's, and was wondering, will swap magic disc 3.2 work with a game that is cd-r, and has a huge iso (or any other file such as mdf/mds, bin/cue) burned to it?

I have some games that are on dvd, but I made an iso out of it, and noticed it was pretty small, so I was just wondering if I could burn it to a cd-r, and will it play? Or will it freeze when trying to play it with the smd 3.2. Thanks.

how can I burn a game that's over 630, but lower than 800 mb. Nero keeps saying "insert a cd" when I try to use a dvd. Thanks.

if your file is only just over 700mb then try using overburn, if its quite a bit over 700mb then you might have to get some 90min cdr's

Note you cannot simply burn a CD image to a DVD to get around the size limit. If the image is a CD image it must be burned to a blank CD.

the weird thing is that the image is a dvd image. The game, airforce delta strike and gunslinger girl volume 3 are both dvd games and dvd images. They are just somehow are less than 700 mb's when I use Nero to try and burn the bin/cue image.

Are you sure that they are not CD rips. It's common to rip a DVD game down in order to fit onto a CD for those that do not have DVD burners. Games that have had this done to them will ususlly be CD images even though they are DVD games and therfore will require that you burn them to CD's and not DVD's. The 700MB number you mention is a typical size of a DVD rip as how you don't want to rip out any more than you have to in order to get it to fit.

Also note that Sony does not make any CD-ROM based games larger than 650MB further implying that the images you have are CD rips. Back to your original issue, Swap Magic will not boot CD backups larger than 650MB, you will need to get the Breaker Pro disc in order to handle those.

I checked the games, it says "dvd-rom", nothing about cd-rom. So basically, I should just buy a breaker pro disc. Thanks

If they're DVD games you could always just try copying from disc to disc using DVD blank media and see if that works.

i decided to use DVD Decrypter on the games, and just rip and burn with it.

I was wondering though, is there any way around breaker pro. I heard that you can use a high toc cd based game to load a cd-r backup that is bigger than 650mb's is this true? What would this process be? And what cd-r based games have high toc's? Thanks for the help.
