Can someone PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong. I have followed Doom's method and have files ready to burn. I open up Nero to burn but can only figure out how to create an image. It seems at the same time that Nero formatted my DVD+rw disc to UDF 2.0. What do I do from here to get my files to play on a stand alone player. I've tried to drag & drop, doesn't work. Do I burn the disc with mpeg's or vob's. I just want the !@#$% damn disc to go into the player and play without a menu or subtitles.

The Nero I have is 5.5.7.2. I just noticed it doesn't have anyplace to burn DVD only SVCD. Do I have to download 5.5.9.17 now? I have a DVD larger than 4.37 GB. How do I re-encode to get VOB files, I seem to only be able to get mpeg's.

I think there were many DVD related fixes in Nero since the release you are using so I would recommend downloading the latest anyway.

If your files are bigger than 4.3GB, then you'll need to trim them using ifoedit and try to get it small enough to fit on a DVD-R or re-encode using TMPG/CCE/REMPEG.

There are many good guides on this at the doom9 site.

Just go to NERO's site and download the upgrade
to 5.9. You will have DVD option after the
upgrade.
