OK. I am looking for a way to boot my ps1 backups on my v1 ps2 w/o spending anymore money. I have smd 3.2 (the dvd and the cd). I have a backup of breaker pro (not positive its a good image) and I tried to boot that with my smd 3.2/flip top, but it just crashes when I swap and press X. The screen gets a pinkish outline and nothing happens. I looked into using the memory card exploit on swapmagicfix.com, but that seems to work only for ps2 backups. My question, what is the easiest way to boot ps1 backups on my ps2 w/o buying anything else? Do I need to refresh the TOC before trying to boot breaker pro? Or is there a way to avoid using breaker pro altogether?

PS.
I havnt had a problem yet booting cd-r or dvd backups of ps2 games, but all ps1 games (along with backup breaker pro) just crash with that pinkish background when I swap em for smd 3.2

Please help....TY

Sorry, forgot to add that I get the same pinkish border freeze when I swap in CDLoaderV7 Beta 5.2. Am I supposed to be pressing eject at any point? I thought eject was only for refreshing the TOC, which I dont fully understand yet anyway hehe.... Figured this might help a lil

An old "Bonus Codes" disc for a Gameshark2 for PS2 version 2.0 or lower will work fine for PS1 backups.

PS2 - v8
Mod - Magic V
Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05
Media - Anything Cheap

Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter
Phantasy Star Online
Animal Crossing Loader v1.4
Phantasy Star Uploader v1.1
Gamecube ISO Ripping Server v1.0.0.29

Is it possible to boot a backup of this bonus disc or possibly boot game shark lite backup using smd 3.2, and then swap my ps1 backup for the GS backup?

Unfortunatelly, no. When you boot with the Swap Magic disc the PS2 goes into PS2 mode and the only to switch it back to PS1 mode is to reset the system requiring you start the boot process over again. Note for those of you wondering why HD Loader can't support PS1 games this is why.

TY... You have been very helpful. Final question. Is there a way to use the memory card exploit with an original ps1 disc to boot ps1 back ups?
