Is there any way that I can connect to my friends xbox using flash fxp and download stuff from his hard drive??

yes, but his xbox must be modded first. the easiest way to do this (if you have the equipment) is connect the xbox to a hub (linksys) using cat5 wire (RJ45). Next connect a pc to the same hub, also using a cat5 wire. turn on xbox and pc. next go into the xbox settings (from the dashboard). check the ip address. write this ip address down. next go to pc, start up ftp program and put in that ip address you wrote down. type the word xbox in for the password and user name. connect.
