First off, I'm a complete newbie to all of this stuff. So please don't bite my head off. Second, I tried looking around for help, but couldn't find anything. If I missed anything, again, please don't bite my head off.
I just got an HD Loader and the Maxtor hard drive combo from Consolesource.com. I switched it to master, plugged it in, and... "Hardware Error". It can't find the HD. For one, despite my limited knowledge of this stuff, I think it's cracked. It says "FREE" over the HD Loader symbol at the top and says something about "for those that have no respect" underneath it. I have an unmodded, unchipped PS2 that's circa sometime in 2002, and I just want to load the darn thing up and play games.
Update: I had my friend, Cosby, come over with his PS2. Both my network adaptor and his load up the Loader on his PS2. So it's my console that's the problem. His is a first run or near-first run PS2, mine is 4 generations newer. (I believe his model number is 35001, and mine is 39001). What gives? Anyway, he was a jerk and wouldn't trade his for mine, but I have another friend (who's a good guy, unlike that Cosby shmuck) who is bringing his first or near-first run PS2 over today and if it works, he'll trade PS2's. I put GTA III on the Loader first to test, and a backup copy of MVP Baseball 2004 to see if backups work on the HD Loader. Both worked terrifically, now I just need a PS2 that will work with it.
yah... iv seen this before... now first of all, yer gonna need to have yer mom buy ALOT of ice-cream, preferabley something delicious such as cherry garcia...now yer gonna need some jimmies to sweeten the deal... yah jimmies will definitely help, maybe even get some whipped cream if yer feelin dangerous. okay then you need to give this frosty treat to a boy named jeff, with a G... and then ask yer kind, helpful principal/neighbor... mr.feeney for advice. he will probably tell you to follow your heart and go to topanga who is in your tree fort..... im sorry i got a little off topic, back to this hd thingy; well you wanna stick the gigadrive in the hdd and reset the master binary..... and then put lots... and lots of porn on yer computer for this so-called jeff with a g to enjoy...that should do it...o god its 3:46 in the morning... i have taken too long writing this nonsensical reply..... ugh.... i was going to make this rediculously long but i am too tired.. and fashionable to continue... im goin to bed...
hey, i new here i just got my hd loader and my hard drive. But every time i load the disk. i get a hardware error. My hd loader also says free over it. my number is scph 39001 some one plzz help me out
