Hi! eric1234

I have the same problem.....I just bought a new HP Pavillion with HP 200i DVD writter. And I followed the intructions at AfterDawn's website. And Everytime I'm ready to record it back to DVD, I get the same message "I/O error" I'm frustrated as hell too. I dunno what else I can do. So I guess we both need help! Is there anyone here that can kindly guide us to solve our problem?

after searching around, I just decided to use a different burning program. DVDDecrypter is good for ripping DVD's but its not good software for backing up your ripped movies. Try using Nero to bring your ripped movies back to DVD's. Make sure u use IFOeditor to set it "Region FRee" & "Get VTS" to make it play properly to your stand alone dvd players at home. Check out Doom9 guides. Hope that helps!

Hello Sirrick!

Yes, You have to rip the movie as a file and not as an ISO file. Once you have the files that you want, bring up the IFOeditor so you can set the "Region Free" and then "Get VTS" After that, its just a matter of burning all those files via Nero. I highly recommend that you check out Doom9 guides. A lot of your questions will be answered there. They will basically tell you step by step what you need to do.

Could be that you're trying to burn a DVD-9 or bigger movie on a 4.7 gb disk. Won't work. Might have to do some editing,e.g.....cut out some stuff, like directors comments and subtitles.

In Vino Veritas.
