I've searched, found a couple minor references to this, but no answers.
I want to use the Memory Card Exploit for HD Loader - can I transfer the files for this exploit directly to my memory card using a sharkport, so I don't have to use the CD method and trick my PS2?

C'Mon guys....somebody has to know this - very simple question.
I know the files exist, but I don't want to mod my PS2...it makes sense that I would just be able to transfer the exploit files directly to my MC using the Sharkport...
A little help, please :)

see, I'm trying to get around having to have a slide card or fliptop to get the exploit onto my MC. I should be able to just transfer the files over, right? It's not some package I need to unzip to my MC or anything, is it?

I haven't tried myself, but I guess you can put the hdloader.elf on your system config file that you transfered from ps2 to pc, and then put it back to the ps2, and it should work, right?
Or you can use some other guides to put cogswap loader on the mem card using a sharkport (I tried this and it worked). Then use a slide card of flip top to put in the CDR for hdloader.
Can someone confirm this?

The link jonjakjam gave shows how to put cogswap loader on the mc. Once you did that, use the link given by geof361 to put hdloader on the mc and then use your psx to boot hdloader. It worked for me! But since I don't have a hard drive in my ps2 yet, it doesn't go to the hdloader menu. Do you guys know what the differences between the maxtor ultra and diamond series are?
