Replace a faulty version 3.2 swap magic cd version. To allow me to play cd backups?

No it won't. Action Replay MAX auto-ejects prior to inserting the backup game disc and therefore it will not work. You will have to find a Gameshark v2 or lower for PS2 to boot CD based PS2 backups.

you can use dvd loader and an original cd based ps2 game to load cd based games.
