Halo patch Help PLZ

Ive got the Halo 10+ trainer patch and patshed it to the default.xbe and loaded the whole game on my xbox hd. In evox i select play games from hd and it says halo trained the loads fine and plays very well to well infast its the excact same game! no changes have been made in any way what did i do wrong any help would be great and thanks for your time reading this
