I have just got a phillips dvd recorder delivered to replace a faulty sony , I set it up and got it to tune in the stations, fine until I noticed all the stations according to the dvd recorder were in mono! so undetered i located the nicam menu on or off but its toss a coin here which one yellow or white to click on, tried both just in case but there isnt much choice between on or off but I wasnt sure how to check what was selected ie verify my choice , nothing on the dvd itself the remote or anything! tried all sorts to get it to store the channels in nicam, rang phillips three times they were no help they didnt know how to set it up them selves, so what chance do I have ,In total I have had 5 dvd recorders all went faulty , then the sony which refused to record saying discs were dirty so I gave phillips one more try, getting this one which is worse than any ive had, I cannot believe I have had 8 recorders some lasted 8 months some a week but for the 500 pounds I dont think im being picky expecting it to last 12 months do you? Ive encountered indifference , stupidity and rudeness from so called help centres so much so if no one on here can help me set up my current machine the lot is going back whence it came!!!! any ideas how to get this recorders channels sorted PLEASE!!!!!
