problems copying the mummy returns

i got the mummy returns and it plays fine on my dvd player but when i try to copy it the program stops all ways at 1 point in the film and never moves i no the disc is scratched but the scratches ant deep is there any othere way i can copy it i use shrink dvd or dvd decrypter

Try setting Decrypter to ignore read errors and hope for the best :)

wont doing that make the film fuck up or mess it up and is there a program that repaires the disc like dvd x rescue

XRescue doesn't "fix" the original disc.

Try getting a disc repair kit.

I believe it reads the disc like any standard ripper but when it encounters a read error it will slow down and keep rereading the same data until it gets enough similar comparisons to continue sort of like what Exact Audio Copy does for audio CDs :)
