why won't the game load?

Here's how I've been playing backed-up games lately. booted Gameshark V2, and when I get to the main menu I take off the top (I don't have a fliptop yet) and manually put in a backed up game and boot it without codes and it plays.

For some reason, it isn't working with my back up of Initial D Special Stage. Is it not working because I have an american NTSC playstation 2 and the game is japanese??

I really want to get this to work. Thank you in advance.

i think you should get a swap magic and a slide card maybe it will help cuz it plays imports and and back up of ps2 the real one what game are you trying to play any way?

i wouldnt use game shark from my point of view it is the lowest u can get i would also either get a swap card or a mod chip of some sort
