this is my backup unit, it started making tinny sounding audio thou the video recording was fine, IDE 1 master burner, slave rom, then it wouldn't read or write from slave, changed drive, same, changed cable,same, changed burner,same,checked BIOS ok there, checked control panel ok there,cleared BIOS and set it up again checked ok every thing sees the slave but it will not read or write,this ran for 3 years now my only guess is the mother board? or cpu? or?
