gameshark 2 w/media player and fliptop to play backups?

i have read on the board that game shark 2 can be used instead of swap magic disc 3.2 to play backups?
i am going to purchase a fliptop and swap magic 3.2 but i also want to get gameshark 2 or action replay max. so my real question is do i actual need to buy swap magic disc 3.2 if gameshark 2 will do the same job? just as good? my ps2 is a v9.
does anybody know where the best place to buy gameshark 2?

I don't know if GS2 will work on a v9 but swap magic make's the loading alot faster then GS2
