PSO 3 booting with PSOLOAD 2.0a

I have been reading that using PSO 3 (or even the new PSO 1 & 2 PLUS) is possible using the latest PSOLOAD program version 2.0a. It's impossible to get PSO 1 & 2 retail and ebay prices are outrageous.

Is there anyone who is doing this successfully? What limitations are there?

I would like to run emulators, homebrew, etc.
