Hi , this drive is a hl-dt-st rw/dvd gcc-4320b .
Its burning data cd's fine ,
not audio cd's though .
First tried to make audio cd using teac cd-r extended capacity disks , tried different burn software all saying burn completed successful ,but say no disk when in cd player . Next i tried some low quality disks XLogic , semi- worked.. but when played they have a distorted breaking up sound and some songs nothing . Is this a wrong/dodgy disc/software problem or do you think the cd-r drive going out the door ? software i used ..nero6 windowsxp built in burner and the windows media player burner .
thanks for anyones thoughts . Ben

I don't use windowsxp built in burner or windows media player burner since I had the same problem. I use NERO Ultra Edition to burn all my music. If your still burning data then your buner is fine.

How are you burning with nero, what are your settings?
Also why don't you use windows media player to rip to your hard drive then burn with nero. Have you done this?
