I was just wondering, how I could backup my games and what is the difference of putting them on a blank dvd or blank cd. Also, is there anykind of adapters out there that you can hook up to the ps2 to play these burned games, external preferrably. Thanks, Steve
For PS2 dvd based games use a dvd-r with DVD Decrypter.
For cd based games use a cd-r with Alcohol.
There are no adaptors to play games externally for the PS2.
How do I tell if the game has to go on a cd or dvd and also, what is the best way to play these games, meaning if I have to get something installed in my playstation what is the way to go I have a Version 1 PS2. There are so many chips out there, what is the best one to go with. Also, once I have this chip installed is it as simple as burning a game and just playing it? Below is a link that has alot of the chips I just want to know from someone's own experience what is the best way of getting a chip installed and which one Thanks again, Steve
I use a Flip Top/Swap Magic Boot Discs combination. You can get those at www.consolesource.com, though I have heard they cant run imports, havent tried yet. Anyhoo, its easy to install. On the Disc will be either a DVD or CD emblem and same with the case. Also, CD's tend to be Blue on the data side, and DVD's white. And yes, once you get the chip on the PS2 its just burn and play for the most part, some games take a little more to get it to burn properly.
