I've recently bought a dvdrw and replaced my dvd rom with it, windows xp detected the new hardware and I thought everything was ok - since then I have been attempting to convert avi to dvd and then burn to blank dvd+r, the problem is Tmpg Author does not recognise my dvd writer and when I look under 'my computer' the drive changes to cd when I insert a blank dvd. I think the dvdrw is set to master and the cdrw is the slave as thats what it says when the computer boots - I've tried to look at the back of the cdrw but I can't remove one of the ports so can't see if its the slave. Sorry if this is a bit long winded but any help would be appreciated.
