MP3 player full but I can't see no file

Ok I am going to try to be as clear as I can. I was uploading a large MP3 to my player (256mb Hewlett Packard) when my computer crashed. I rebooted my PC and retried to reload the MP3 file but I get a message telling me that the drive is full. When I disconnect my MP3 player and go onto the menu it shows NO FILE. I went to the ABOUT menu and show that only 120mb of space are free out of the 256mb. Anybody to help me with that problem, bear in mind that I am not very technical. Thanks in advance.
