hey guys!

I'm looking for a good tvtuner, mostly for watching tv and playing ps2

can you recommend anything with good picture quality?

also, I need it to have audio-in and both pal/ntsc support

I searched myself and here's what I came to so far:

TV Elitegroup EZ-TV P3XP-P02
MSI TV Anywhere Master
Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP Deluxe
AverMedia TV 203
3DeMON PV951T

But I don't know if any of those are any good

Thanks!

hi,
i've seen several posts on this forum where people have reported having trouble with the Leadtek Winfast devices, so you might want to steer clear for them...

also, the ATI All in Wonder devices aren't too bad, but honestly you don't really need audio input on the video capture device. you just plug the audio output to the "line in" on your sound card.

yep, and all i am saying is that the audio-in does not have to reside on the the video capture device itself. at the very least you do not have to pay more for a device simply because it has an audio capture function. the audio "line in" on you sound card will do the exact same thing...

oh, and just to clarify the last post. i did not mean to say ATI All in Wonder, i meant ATI TV wonder...sorry for any confusion.

np turkey, I understood that you meant TV Wonder

well, if you say I can use my audio card's in, then what to do about the tvtuner's out? it's already using my audio card's in! I can buy 3.5mm jack splitter, but I think it won't work!

I have Pinnacle PVTV Pro, now, It has some kind of internal audio line on board - to connect it to my audio card internally - to the aux connection, but I don't know which cable goes with in! I tried the cd-rom internal audio cable, but it doesn't fit!

i see absolutly no reason why a splitter would not work. besides, those little mini-jack splitters only cost $5, you should just try it...

also, you could plug the TV tuner output to the "microphone" input and the PS output to the "line in".

I'm looking for a decent tv tuner program for playing my PS2. I have a MSI GeForce FX5600 with VI/VO, but the program that came with it (MSI's Media Center Delux) isn't that great. Every time I load it up I have to stretch the screen out about an inch either direction since there is a huge black edge around the video. Not sure if it's a problem with the card or the program, but I haven't really been able to find a decent tv tuner program to test it out...

Aziel - most people recommend DScaler for playing video games on your monitor... that includes me. it has plenty of configuration options and filters to get your pciture just right.
