go search threads for cogswap loader, memcard exploit, or exploit. they should have guides around.

You can burn the disk with DVD Decrypter. http://www.dvddecrypter.com/ and go to the download sections. BTW, its free. And yes, it will work, that is how I burn ALL my images. I only use Alcohol to drink and mount images......I mean just to mount images....::hick::

I'm having the same problem. I adjusted the buffer size which got rid of the "Not enough memory" error, but it still didn't work. I'm burning the cue file (Alcohol won't let you burn the bin file). I also tried burning the iso file with the same result. I've tried this on two different computers.

I did originally. Same error about an invalid field in parameter. That was using Disc-at-once. It did work when I used Disc-at-once/96, but it wouldn't work when I put it in the playstation. Maybe my Swapmagic is bad. I have a v9 PS2. The Swapmagic CD label says ver 3.2, but on screen it says 3.00. Did I get screwed or do they all say that?

I burned the exploit using Nero and it works fine for me.I didn't have any probs or errors that came up.I did my own compilation that has alot more than Cogswaploader though maybe that is why it didn't work.If you want to get the cogswaploader why not just get the cogswaploader and everything along with it.You can get the keylauncher which is here http://www.siirlabs.com/ps2dev/kl/release/ps2-keylauncher-0.2+-image_USA.rar this should be the link to get the keylauncher. It is a already compiled disc that includes cogswaploader and alot more here is what it contains:
# PS2 MediaPlayer 1.50
# MCLoader
# HDD Loder Free
# HDAdvance
# CogSwapLoader by Hermes
# PS2Link 1.23
# CDLoader v7 5.2
# MCFormat
It has a .bin and a .cue file. How to burn it with Nero Burning Rom,just wait for the menu to come up and click on Open at the bottom right of the screen.Browse to where your .cue is for the keylauncher. The .cue file and .bin file should be in the same folder also.If you are using Nero Express click on the disc image or saved project button and grab the .cue file which should be located where the .bin file is.This exploit uses the Breaker Pro Disc V1.1 ,but I am compiling a disc right now that uses PS1 discs. It is a file that replaces the Breaker Pro V1.1 title.db .The file has over 800 PS1 titles you can choose from.I have already succeeded, but am working on putting in the SNES Station right now which should fix the Snes Station being put on Dvd.

I forgot to mention the steps on booting the exploit up:
Swap Magic users:
insert the Swap Magic Cd
using fliptop swap out the Swap Magic Cd and put in the keylauncher disc
It will show a screen and it will automatically install all of the .ELF files into your memory card which should be the system file
Insert the Breaker Pro V1.1 disc and it should automatically boot giving you a Menu where you can press a button to launch your apps
Modchip Users:
Insert the keylauncher disc and wait for it to install, reboot your system
Use the Breaker Pro V1.1 disc to boot the exploit from the memory card
I have a compiled disc right now that runs off of PS1 games, but I am working on fixing a guide so anybody can compile there own memory card exploit.Hope it helps you all out.

L-Burna, I was able to burn the image you posted, but I don't have Breaker Pro. If you could post the image for running off PS1 discs, that would be awesome. Thanks.

You dont need to use breaker pro to boot. if you dont know how to edit the title.db you could use PS1 action replay or even certain PS1 demos instead of BP as they have the same PSX id as breaker pro.

I know how to edit titles.db, but the problem is I can't seem to burn the image when I create it myself with cdgenps2. I can't edit the file once it's already in the image, right? I don't have action replay or any demos, either.

you burned the image to cd right? put that cd in your drive and copy all the files on it to a folder on your pc. edit the title.db file, put all the files into cdgenPS2, then create new image file and burn it.

Yeah I can help you out jerrycurl it is a big file though. The file is 143mb which is pretty big since it has a dummy file in it which is 100mb.Another thing is if you are creating it wrong that tells me you don't have the files in the right order. You have to be precise with the location of the files. You can't just put them in ps2cdgen in any order or it will mess up for sure. The PS1 title.db that has 800 PS1 titles should be located here http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=4447 this is the big title.db with 800 PS1 titles. If you want to use it.I would give you my disc, but the disc is pretty big.I could make a bittorrent file and put it up that way.Anyways if you can wait patiently I will put up a guide to help people out.

Thanks for the guide. I followed it and was able to successfully burn the image, but it still won't load onto the PS2. I put the Swapmagic disc in (I tried it with both the CD and DVD discs) and use the slide tool to replace it with my burned disc. When I hit X, the screen immediately turns red before the cd even spins up (with the CD version), and after a while the screen gets a magenta border around it (on both the CD and DVD versions). Is it possible that Swapmagic is not compatible with my PS2?

Yeah this could be the cause I have heard some other people having problems with there version of PS2.The newest versions aren't capable of booting the exploit.I think it does some serious checks which could be the checks that stop some games using Swap Magic discs also.I think if you have a V9 or below you should be able to get it to work.I seen a thread not that long ago saying that V10 and V11 consoles are having a hard time booting the exploit.I also seen that messiah chips aren't able to boot the exploit also.I uploaded a compiled disc to a person on the forums here goes by the name of Liam1080.He has put up a site that should help out people that need to get a working backup for there game they are trying to back up.I have asked him to put up the exploit I made and uploaded it to the site, but we will have to see.It is a very nice exploit.I used the keylauncher disc and recompiled it with the Super Nintendo Station on it also so it should be able to help people out with V9 and V10 and all above version consoles that have trouble getting a compiled cd version working in the exploit also.It was meant to get a dvd version working, but it has alot more than that in the exploit. It has the cogswaploader, the cdloaderV7_beta5.2,hddloader,hdadvance,mcformat,mcloader,PS2 media player V1.50,and SNES station etc...it has a couple more on it.The exploit is very usefull and I thought it would be helpfull to upload it to Liam1080 site so if you are having problems. You can find the exploit hopefully off this site http://free.hostultra.com/~LiamHaddock/ps2backupsite/index.html which is the one I made or you could try this site out http://www.siirlabs.com/ps2dev/kl/release/ps2-keylauncher-0.2+-image_USA.rar which should be the already compiled keylauncher disc. You should try this disc out first the keylauncher disc and see if this works. If it fails then this tells me that your PS2 version is not capable of running the exploit.Try this out and tell me if this works alright.
