I have taken out the motherboard but cannot locate the bios chip. Not the best picc but may help.

Why are you trying to locate the BIOS chip?

Thanks for the info drchips. I thought resetting the cmos whould reset the administrator a/c on the laptop but this is not the case. I need to press f10 when booting to access the cd rom drive to reinstall but it prompts me for the administrator a/c password. Any ideas?
