Hi,

Kinda new at this so bear with me. I have an Averatec 1.5Ghz AMD Athlon M, 512mg laptop. I'm using a PIONEER DVR-S606 External Burner. The softwareoftware that came with it along with Nero Express, Nero Toolkit, SCI Write DVD, & Uleads VideoStudio 7 SE, DVD MovieFactory 2SE, DVD PictureShow 2SE, DVD Player.

I rip with DVDDecrypter, shrink with DVD Shrink and then burn with the Moviefactory software. All works fine...burns at 4X...pretty simple to use EXCEPT:

When the burn reaches 100% and starts to finalize the drive will continue to spin for another 30-35 min. So basically I burn the disc in 12-14 min and it finalizes for 30-35 so we're talking 45 min to complete what should be a 14 min burn. I have not downloaded the update patch for Moviefactory and I have not yet downloaded the 1.06 firmware update. I plan to do this shortly but thought I'd throw this ? out there. Could someone shed some light on this? Is it a simple firmware issue? (Hopefully!)
