DVD drives not working together

Hey all,

I just bought a new DVD double layer burner from Memorex and installed just fine. The way I have it set up is my DVD rom reads my movies and DVD burner burns them (obviously). The problem is that after I installed the burner the two stopped working together. The two drive work fine by themselves. I'm using DVD X Copy Platinum. Can someone help? Thanks!

What do you mean by 'not working together'?

You need to provide a little more details.....

Dvdrom to read and dvdrw to write, are you saying the Dvdrom does not read now or the dvdrw does not write???????????????

Do you have them both on the same ide cable?
(possible data collision)
Is one set to master and one set to slave?
If they are both set to master or slave then you can only access them one at a time. Check the jumpers.
