I'm resizing some AVI files I have using both TMPGEnc and MME (mainconcepts mpeg) and would like to take these file into author. The obvious option here 'should' be the Elementary stream for DVD authoring, but I'm confused about the output here.

The audio stream that is being output is an MP2 audio file. I am getting MP2 video files from a different application. Now I have 2 styles of MP2 files, one of them is the elementary audio and the other is the elementary video. Actually the mp2 audio stream is not working in my apps, not supported, but the mp2 video stream does work, always has.

The nearest I can conclude is the MP2 video files I'm used to seeing are closely related to M2V files, they both are accepted everywhere, like Visa. But the mp2 audio files that TMPGEnc is creating for use in authoring (ES) claim they are not supported. The MP2 audio file is confusing me, must need to covert to MP3 or MPA? Quit using ES settings? It's the only way to get 2 part output?
