I am reading through the manuel and it says

File Conversion -

When you choose to convert a new game onto your HD you will be promted to instert your game disk.

Can I do this on my pc?

HDloader and HDavdance (same thing jsut a different name and different pictures on screen) are PLAYSTATION 2 PROGRAMS NOT PC PROGRAMS

if you want to oput stuff onto the hdd via the pc, you should look for hdhandiness/hdldump or soemthign liek that
