Back up DVD movies to modified xbox hard drive

I've been searching all over trying to figure out how to back up my DVD movies to my xbox hard drive. I've only been able to do it so that it creates two folders (audio and video) and within the video folder is the vob files.
1) Is there a way to create 1 file?
2) What player should I use and where can I download it?
3) How do I install it on my xbox hard drive?

Any help would be appreciated!
