can any one help me i am trying to transfer my mini discs to my computer do i need any thing special to do this.

Yes , you do !!

There are MD-Port I/O kits available that will permit connection of your MD to your PC-- You can record to your PC or vice versa !

Of course if you have a reasonably good sound card and MD with spdif out you can use an optical cable from the MD to the soundcard. lots of mid-high end soundcards have this connection on them.
